Slow Cooker Pork Shoulder

Ingredients:

3-4 kg pork shoulder (fatty cut)
1 jar char sui sauce
kosher salt
pepper
1 cup of apple or cranberry juice
1 bay leaf
3-4 cloves of garlic

Directions:

Apply kosher salt and pepper all over the pork shoulder. Heat skillet to medium high and brown the pork in a bit of lard. You don't need much.

In a bowl, mix char sui sauce and apple juice together.

Place pork shoulder into the slow cooker and pour the sauce over the meat. Let the pork marinate over night.

In the morning, slow cook the shoulder for 6-7 hours on lowest setting. Don't forget to add garlic and bay leaf to the slow cooker.

It is best served on a French baguette with zeli, onions and mayonnaise. Don't forget to add salt and pepper to taste.
