Cabbage roll casserole

Ingredients:


1 large head of cabbage
4 lbs of ground beef
2 cups of beef broth
thyme
rosemary
2 cans of tomato sauce
2 cans of diced tomatoes
1 tsp celery salt
2 bay leaves
2 large onions diced
1/4 cup butter
2-3 cloves of garlic
2 tbsp. sugar
3-4 cups cooked rice
polish sausages (6 links)
perogies (as much as you like)
1 tub of sour cream

Directions:


Chop up cabbage, preferably in finger size. Boil until soft.

Fry ground beef until fully cooked and drain the oil. Add tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, sugar, thyme, rosmary, bay leaves, broth and celery salt. Simmer for 20-30 minutes.

In a very large casserole dish, mix everything together. Add sausages (uncut) and cover with tinfoil and bake at 350F for an hour depending on how soft you like your cabbage.

While casserole is baking, Boil the perogies.

Remove the sausages from the casserole and slice. Add sausages back to the casserole.

Scoop a large heap of casserole onto a plate. Add perogies and a dollop of sour cream. Serves 10-12 people.
